Arteriosclerosis Detector
Atherosclerosis is the most common and important type of vascular disease caused by arteriosclerosis, which is characterized by the lesions of the affected arteries starting from the intima. Generally, there is accumulation of lipids and complex sugars, bleeding and thrombosis, fibrous tissue proliferation and calcium deposition, and gradual degeneration and calcification of the middle layer of the arteries. The lesions often involve elastic and large and medium-sized muscular arteries. Once they develop enough to block the arteries, cavity, the tissue or organ supplied by the artery will be ischemic or necrotic. Because the lipids accumulated in the intima of arteries have a yellow atherosque appearance, it is called atherosclerosis
